Artist's Description
This is an image of an entrance with locked doors. Light streams through the openings, suggesting there is something of interest happening behind these closed doors. But although I constructed this photograph, I still ponder what exists behind these locked doors. Something benign? Secretive?
This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.
