Artist's Description
A series of open doors establishes the rhythm of the work, and a series of numbered signs is placed above each door. The fact that the third door has its sign removed lends it an uncanny aspect, impossible to not notice and still unsettling in relation to the effect achieved. With all these open doors from which to choose, which one would influence our lives the best, and which ones should be ignored?
This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.
