Artist's Description

As light travels from one medium to another, it changes speed and direction, and this can cause it to be refracted, or bent. In this photo a beam of light is split into a spectrum by a large glass pyramid set in the middle of a large hall.

This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.
