Artist's Description
The source of warmth and light is kept guarded here, as a cauldron of fire stands in the center of a cathedral-like setting. There is a play of light and shadows on the floor and columns emanating from the arched windows.
This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.
