Artist's Description

If there ever were to be a collection of mollusks and their shells, this would be this: a fanciful depiction of a hotel full of seashells.

This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.
