Artist's Description
Reminiscent of ancient Roman and Byzantine baths, this photograph shows an underground pool of water. There is a strong contrast between the cool blue light of the foreground and the light that bathes the background in a warm glow.
This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.
