Artist's Description

Sunlight streams in through arched windows. An opened letter sits on a couch, apparently already having been read, which leads us to believe that someone read has recently left the room. Abruptly? With what reaction? What emotions were elicited by the letter? Can assumptions be made by the odd appearance of the room?
I am intrigued by what is not known in this image.

This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.
