This library is overflowing with books. A huge pile of books stands in the middle of the room, suggesting chaos or disorganization within the library. Or perhaps someone was desperately seeking a particular book which was possibly never found. This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.Shown / Exhibitions:The Other Art Fair, May 2019The Other Art Fair, Nov. 2019A. About John Manno
For four decades, working from my studio in Manhattan, my work for high profile clients had been seen in some of the most prestigious publications. Now I create images that express my own aesthetic. These photographs have appeared in dozens of gallery exhibitions and art fairs at home and abroad.
