Artist's Description
This photograph is of an imaginary room in a gothic style castle. The entrance guides us to the middle of a room where the darkened staircase lures us to the vaulted chamber on the next level.
This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.
