Artist's Description

An old massive machine stands alone in a place of worship. I recognize that technology and industry have not only influenced our lives, but have ruled over much of how we function in this world. I stop short of idolatry of mechanical things, yet I acknowledge its existential power.

This image is from my series Misbegotten Places, where I photograph small sets built from photographs. With proper lighting and camera angles these sets become lifelike, yet always somewhat misbegotten. Editions are limited to 9 prints.

Shown / Exhibitions:
International Photography Awards, IPA 2018 Honorable Mention
LoosenArt, Rome Italy “The Man and The Machine” 2020
